Hrant Dink (1954-2007)
Hrant Dink was an Armenian-Turkish intellectual, writer and journalist who had dedicated his whole life to peace and Armenian and Turkish reconciliation. He was an advocate of human and minority rights and editor in chief of the bilingual Agos Magazine.

He was assassinated in January 9, 2007. Over one hundred thousand mourners marched in protest of the assassination, chanting, “We are all Armenians” and “We are all Hrant Dink” in Dink’s Funeral.
I have had a chance to visit this great man’s tomb where he rests in peace at the Armenian Cemetery in Zeytinburnu guarded with two doves of peace.
I have recently learnt that 23.5 Hrant Dink Site of Memory opened in İstanbul and had won European Museum Forum’s Kenneth Hudson Award for Institutional Courage and Professional Integrity in 2023. The Site of Memory will give you a chance to experience the life and vision of Hrant Dink through his photos, articles, private objects and foremost through his own voice.
