The Eternal City Atelier
The Eternal City Atelier is born from Istanbul — a place where history is not simply remembered, but lives on in texture, light, and everyday presence.
The Eternal City Collection is not a fashion collection in the traditional sense. It is a series of knitted pieces inspired by the places, memories, and atmospheres that define Istanbul. Each design begins with a story and is then translated into texture, colour, and form. Every piece carries a name, for each belongs to a different facet of this timeless metropolis.
Hand-knitted in Istanbul by women dedicated to preserving traditional craftsmanship, these pieces carry the memory of a world where beauty was shaped by human hands. Their skill and artisanal wisdom connect every garment to the rich heritage of makers, artisans, and ateliers that once flourished throughout the city.
The Eternal City Collection is dedicated to my grandmother Nebahat Vina, an artisan whose skill, patience, and love of handmade work left a lasting impression on me. Through these pieces, I hope to honour not only her memory, but also the generations of makers whose craftsmanship helped shape the spirit of Istanbul.

I. BOSPHORUS MIST SHAWL
A veil of morning where the city meets the water.
Inspired by the delicate mist that rises over the Bosphorus at dawn, the Bosphorus Mist Shawl captures a fleeting moment in Istanbul’s daily rhythm. As the first light touches the water and the outlines of the city emerge through the haze, the shawl’s airy lace pattern evokes the softness, movement and quiet beauty of the morning mist.

II. HAGIA SOPHIA SHAWL
Light as air. Majestic as heritage.
Inspired by the soaring domes and luminous interiors of Hagia Sophia, this featherlight shawl is a celebration of light, space and timeless architecture. Its delicate openwork pattern draws inspiration from Byzantine mosaics, the calligraphy of light and the graceful arches that define one of the world’s most iconic monuments that has inspired generations for over nearly fifteen centuries.

Inspired by the silhouette of Galata at midnight, the Galata Moonlight Top captures the transformation of Istanbul as daylight fades and the city begins to glow. The elongated knit motifs draw inspiration from the soaring lines of the Galata Tower and the narrow streets that radiate from its base, while delicate freshwater pearls recall the scattered lights reflected across the Bosphorus at night.

Inspired by the airy elegance of Topkapı Palace, the Topkapı Summer Draped Top captures the softness of summer light and the refined splendour of Ottoman craftsmanship. Delicate, luminous and effortlessly graceful, its asymmetric silhouette recalls the fluid folds of silk, the intricacy of palace lacework and the subtle radiance of imperial jewels.
Its openwork construction drapes gently across one shoulder, creating a sculptural yet weightless form that moves naturally with the body. The softly pointed, lace-edged hem echoes the ornamental rhythms of Ottoman design, while delicate pirliti catch the light like tiny fragments of gold.
