Istanbul is a city that constantly recreates itself and the Industrial Complex Gazhane in Kadıköy is a great example. Gazhane was an industrial complex established 130 years ago to provide energy to the Anatolian side of İstanbul but it lost its function in 1993 and was completely abandoned. In 2021, Gazhane was converted into a Museum Complex encompassing exhibition halls, a library, a bookstore, a restaurant, cafes and venues for concerts. It also hosts an industrial museum.

Gazhane hosts exciting exhibitions, concerts, and events all across the year. If you visit the Anatolian side, I would highly recommend you to visit it. Here are some photos that can give you a glimpse of Gazhane.

Here is a concert at Gazhane which is one among many!
