
There is a secret gem in İstanbul few people are aware of and it is in the heart of old town inside İstanbul Archeology Museum.

İstanbul Archeology Museum Library was formed in 1903 and it hosts a rich collection of books including 1958 manuscripts that do not have a replica. The library consists of a large collection of books inherited from Sultans, leading scholars, writers and Pashas of the Ottoman Empire such as Ahmet Cevad Paşa, Sultan Reşat and Recaizade Ekrem.

The library offers a rich resource for academics and researchers who are allowed in the Library with a special permit. Although it is not possible to visit the Library, it is a delight to glance at the photos of a Library which reminds of our heritage.
