There is now an ensemble in İstanbul aiming to synthesise oriental and occidental musical traditions named Ensemble Orient-Occident İstanbul. It was founded by a music lover Serhan Bali.

The Ensemble has concerts in historical locations with magical atmospheres such as the underground cistern that is around 1500 years old.
