Modern life in İstanbul is extremely consuming as it is a constant rush or a rat race. I almost always flee to old town away from the mundane challenges of city life to be immersed in history and for the stimulation of the covered bazaar with its vibrant objects of desire. On the way to the covered bazaar close to the Nuruosmaniye entrance, right on the left side, on one of the streets is a cafe where shop owners and tourists frequently visit. It is called Fes Cafe. The cafe’s interior is pretty eclectic. There are tables in front of the cafe which enables you to watch people passing by. There is a corner for local eccentricities such as towels, caftans, soaps and many more.
