My Secret Garden

If you asked me about one of the biggest challenges of being an İstanbulite, I would definitely say ‘finding a tranquil corner’. Istanbul is a chaotic city that lives 7/24. It is an overpopulated city where people are passionate and loud and traffic is unmanageable and stressful. Istanbulites are dominantly extraverted people who like to socialise rather than seeking a moment of solitude.

You might wonder where an istanbulite seeking a tranquil corner flee to. One option is the Allis Cafe inside the garden of the former American Embassy in Pera. The garden of Allis Cafe feels like a secret garden isolated from the crowds and noise of İstanbul.

Garden of Allis Cafe is one of the few spots one can hide away far from the madding crowd of İstanbul! It is a perfect spot if you want to spend a rather quiet morning or an afternoon sipping your tea or coffee, reading, contemplating or having an intimate conversation with a dear friend.
