Çiya is one of my favourite restaurants on the Anatolian side where I live. It is in Kadıköy which is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city. The restaurant looks cosy but the food is amazing. The cuisine it offers is so rich that one has a hard time choosing among the options. The dishes are super interesting and exciting even for locals like us as they are from very different regions across Turkey.
The staff is kind and very friendly. The owners are almost always engaged with the restaurant so you feel like you are welcomed as a guest in a Turkish home.
Musa Dağdeviren is the founder of Çiya and he wrote an amazing book on Turkish cuisine. I would highly recommend you to check it out.

I would highly recommend Çiya if you ever travel to the Anatolian side to experience the most authentic tastes from across Anatolia in İstanbul.
