Beyoglu hosts a growing number of boutique hotels with unique characters and Mr. Cas Hotel is one of them. The hotel is next to the Galatasaray High School in the Galatasaray Square in Beyoglu. Its history goes back to 1900. It was originally called Guney Palas in which many leading poets, writers, fashion designers and movie makers lived. Famous fashion designer Yildirim Mayruk also had an atelier in Guney Palas.

The building has recently been turned into a hotel named Mr. Cas Hotel, I love the interior decoration of this hotel with art deco details. The hotel has a museum floor dedicated to Yildirim Mayruk who had his fashion design atelier in this building.
The Hotel takes its name from an old resident of the Apartment named Mr. Cas who was famous with his legendary parties.

When you visit Ms. Cas Hotel, I suggest you take the steps rather than the elevator to see the old photos on the walls of the staircase and the ‘museum’ floor dedicated to Yildirim Mayruk and his work.

The rooms are very elegant, perfect for a romantic stay such as a honeymoon or a wedding anniversary with soft colours and romantic details .

The hotel has a very unique bar and an art deco style restaurant on the top floor so I suggest you drop by for a drink on the top floor even if you do not stay at the hotel. Especially the romantic male and female sculptures of ‘Venus and Adonis’ surrounding the mirror on the bar is a ‘must see’. They were made by the famous Turkish sculptor Cagdas Ercelik symbolising eternal love.

The hotel has a terrace overlooking the beautiful building and the garden of Galatasaray High School along with other historical buildings such as St. Antuan Church.
The hotel is also a perfect location for special receptions and private parties. So don’t miss it!
