As a person who is a fan of documentaries about İstanbul, there are few documentaries that have impressed me as much as that of historian Simon Sebag Montefiore. He is a renowned British historian with prize winning books and his documentary titled a Tale of Three Cities covers the tree different phases of the city from the ancient Greek town of Byzantium to the Christian Roman city of Constantinople up until the Ottoman Konstantiniye and the modern İstanbul.
